I joined the hospitality industry because I like people! Taking care of people, helping them and making them comfortable are the main reasons for me to remain in this industry.

At first, I did not really know what the tourism, hotel and catering business were about, but once I started working in the industry I was hooked. Discovering the different working environments in which hospitality takes a leading role, from luxury to humanitarian aid service as well as the different countries and industry segments, made it more encouraging and exciting.

Having worked in almost every industry sector, I have discovered a clear vocation for the strategic management aspects of the industry. What interests me most is the development of new projects and services, or fine-tuning existing ones until they reach their full potential. If you are willing to join this industry, I would suggest you never lose the curiosity about other people, cultures, working environments and methods for enriching yourself. Knowledge and information are education, and education is power, the power to dream and to create, to get wherever you want. Collect information, analyse it, only then plan and act.

Whether organising a catering service for the fan crowd of an international Soccer Team and serving 20.000 burgers in 6 hours, to developing an amazing visit and tutorial for visitors of a Sherry wine cellar, running a Michelin starred restaurant or working on the F&B Services of a mid-size hotel chain, everything I have done, has fulfilled me personally and professionally.
