The International Centre of Excellence in Tourism and Hospitality Education (THE-ICE) announced that César Ritz Colleges earned top global marks in its 2022 Student Satisfaction Global Index, the largest such survey in the world. The global survey firm i-Graduate has conducted this survey annually since 2007, and works with 1,200 of the world’s leading universities, colleges, and schools, as well as governmental agencies across 24 countries.

In a clear recognition of excellence, César Ritz Colleges ranked No. 1 in three categories of student satisfaction in the survey:

  • Communicating with tutors
  • Communicating with students
  • On-campus facilities access

This comes as no surprise to the school’s dean, Tanja Forenthal, who, upon learning of the top ranking, said that “communicating with, listening to, and coaching students are some of our key priorities at César Ritz Colleges and we are therefore very proud to be ranked No. 1 in student communication."

THE-ICE and i-Graduate report that their online questionnaire assesses decision-making, expectations, perceptions, and intentions of international and domestic students at every stage of student life, from application to graduation. The confidential responses are then analyzed and aggregated to deliver comparative global insights and rankings. The survey is considered an important benchmark of the effectiveness of a school’s “internationalization strategy”, i.e., how well the school’s programs instill students with a global perspective, seen as a key element in improving their prospects for employment.

The global survey is “the first ranking system based solely on quantitative data of student satisfaction, and member institutions achieving a premier ranking of No. 1 against the Global Index are recognized annually for their outstanding and ongoing commitment to quality,” according to THE-ICE.

Most importantly, the survey offers students a platform to tell their schools what matters most to them and how they feel about their experiences. César Ritz Colleges uses the annual results to review all aspects of their students’ experience, a key element of ongoing quality improvement objectives. "At Cesar Ritz Colleges,” says Dean Forenthal, “every student and every voice counts and this is why this achievement is so important to us."
